Camels in Israel

Israel has an old and rich culture. Regarded as the ‘Holy Land,’ it boasts the world’s most famous historical sites. The country may be small but planning a trip to visit it may be overwhelming. Israel has archeological sites almost on every corner. One of the many experiences one shouldn’t miss is camel riding. Traveling through the sandy deserts of Israel requires camels which are by itself an unforgettable experience.

Visit the Negev Desert
This desert is located in modern-day Israel and occupies about 60 percent of Israel's land mass and on the Palestinian side. This desert bears religious significance in both Christianity and Judaism. It is said that it is within this desert that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob tendered their animals. Camels inIsrael can take you around these vast areas as you learn the culture.

Go and Float in the Dead Sea
This is the lowest point on earth. A visit to the Dead Sea when you’re most depressed can rejuvenate your soul and mind. Get some of that mineral rich mud and smoother it on your body before floating on this warm and salty water.

Bedouin Hospitality
In Southern Israel, across the Negev desert, are some farms which offer Bedouin hospitality. A tourist gets to experience traditional Bedouin food, enjoy camel rides, and sleep in Bedouin tents. While enjoying the Bedouin experience, you also get a chance to visit the nearby villages and learn about their lifestyle and rich history. You also get to use camels in Israel which have been used as the primary mode of transport for Bedouins for thousands of years.

Becoming a Bar and Bat Mitzvah
Your child won’t forget a coming-to-age experience in Israel. In Jerusalem, such is offered at the foot of the temple mount. Your family will get to celebrate this Jewish experience in an ancient setting.
